The origin story

A collector before CoinHub was a company

Blake's interest in coins was personal long before it became professional. Encouraged by his mother, he turned that interest into clear, practical videos for people wondering whether an unusual penny, quarter, dollar, or piece of paper money deserved a closer look.

Before CoinHub, Blake spent part of his teenage years writing and broadcasting about the outdoors. That early experience in television, radio, and publishing taught him how to explain a specialized subject without speaking only to experts. When he started CoinHub on TikTok and Instagram in 2020, he applied the same approach to modern U.S. mint errors, varieties, and everyday finds.

An early video about a Coca-Cola bottle-cap coin from Fiji became a viral turning point. The lasting lesson was bigger than a view count: people become curious about collecting when someone shows them what makes an object unusual and why its story matters.

Make coin collecting accessible to people who may never have entered a traditional coin shop or attended a coin show.

From videos to a numismatic platform

Building CoinHub in public

CoinHub's growth has followed one consistent idea: meet collectors where they are, then give them a trustworthy next step.

Learning to communicate through outdoor media

As a teenager, Blake wrote books and hosted outdoor radio and television programming before stepping away from that field.

CoinHub launches on social media

At 19, Blake began publishing short-form coin education centered on mint errors, valuable varieties, precious metals, and the history hiding in everyday change.

Live selling and CoinHub Media

CoinHub expanded into livestream commerce and was incorporated as CoinHub Media, connecting education with an active collecting marketplace.

Books, national media, and industry conversations

Blake published practical CoinHub guidebooks, served as a coin-error source for Fox Business, and shared the CoinHub story on the Coin World and Red Book podcasts.

A larger CoinHub for collectors

CoinHub expanded its downtown Lebanon operation while growing its Journal, free collector tools, live programming, local services, and educational reach. Company reporting placed the audience near two million followers with hundreds of millions of video views.

Writing for collectors

Practical books built from real collector questions

From spotting errors to selling a collection

Blake's CoinHub books extend the same plain-language approach that built the audience online. They are designed to give collectors a practical starting point, whether they are studying mint errors or preparing to sell U.S. coins and silver.

Tradition meets new media

Learning from the hobby while helping it reach new people

Blake describes himself as a lifelong student of numismatics. CoinHub's work combines relationships with established collectors and authors with the speed and accessibility of modern publishing and live video.

The person behind CoinHub

Faith, family, curiosity, and a life beyond coins

Blake's Christian faith is central to his life and leadership. He credits God, his family, mentors, the CoinHub team, and the collecting community for the opportunities he has received. He also remains candid that numismatics is too broad for anyone to finish learning, a mindset that keeps education and careful research at the center of CoinHub.

Outside the business, Blake enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, hiking, traveling, collecting watches, and writing poetry.
