Start with what you have.
You don’t need to identify every coin before bringing in an inherited collection. Keep coins in their existing holders and bring any notes, receipts or grading paperwork you have. Avoid cleaning or polishing them: it can permanently alter their surfaces. We can review the collection with you, with no pressure to sell.
Understand the buying offer.
An online asking price is not a completed sale. A coin’s date, mint mark and condition matter when comparing prices. A dealer’s buying offer also differs from a retail selling price. Bring any price information you have so we can discuss how it relates to your coins.
Know the appraisal cost.
Our standard policy: the first 30 minutes are free. After that, coin-collection appraisals cost $1 per minute. If you sell your collection to CoinHub, the entire appraisal fee is waived, regardless of how long it takes.

We provide a detailed receipt of your collection’s value when the appraisal is complete. We do not accept credit cards for appraisal payments.
