U.S. half cents date from 1793 to 1857. A half cent means half of one cent.

Half Cent Types:

• 1793 — Liberty Cap, facing left.
• 1794 — Liberty Cap, facing right, Large Head.
• 1795–1797 — Liberty Cap, facing right, Small Head.
• 1800–1808 — Draped Bust.
• 1809–1836 — Classic Head.
• 1840–1857 — Braided Hair.
