What the Mint has confirmed

The most useful starting point is the Mint’s S830 product page. Checked September 17, it displays an Add to Bag option and a $164 price. Specifications remain a matte finish, one troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver, and a 1.598-inch diameter. The original announced launch was September 3 at noon Eastern; this is no longer an upcoming-release notice.

The Mint says the medal is encapsulated, comes in a single presentation case, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. It is a medal, not a legal-tender coin: its listed denomination is N/A, and the page gives no mint mark or privy mark.

Current-purchase check: the Mint says product dates and prices can change. Check the official listing at the time of purchase instead of relying on a screenshot, reseller listing, or older post.

What does “None” mean in the current limit fields?

The S830 page currently shows None for mintage limit, product limit, and household order limit. That is useful current information, but it is not a prediction about how long the medal will remain available or what it will sell for later.

  • Mintage limit: the total quantity made across products. The listing currently provides no numerical cap.
  • Product limit: the quantity assigned to this particular item. The current page provides no numerical cap.
  • Household order limit: the quantity a household may order under current sales rules. The page currently lists none.

Those fields are separate. A collector should not convert an absent household limit into a claim that the medal is unlimited, scarce, or guaranteed to appreciate.

Design and specifications

The Mint describes an obverse with a bust of President Coolidge and the inscription “CALVIN COOLIDGE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.” The reverse uses a laurel wreath around a seated female figure, a heraldic eagle, shield, cornucopia, and inscriptions relating to Coolidge’s inaugurations. Both sides are credited to John Ray Sinnock on the product page.

Coolidge served as the 30th president from 1923 to 1929. For release planning, though, keep the historical design description separate from the current product terms: S830 is the modern 2026 silver medal being offered by the Mint.

A checklist for the current listing

  1. Open the official S830 page. Confirm availability, price, and current limits.
  2. Separate launch date from availability. The September 3 date records the original release, not a future sales appointment.
  3. Decide on a budget in advance. An available product should not turn into an unplanned purchase.
  4. Keep the item number with your notes. S830 helps distinguish this medal from past or future Presidential Medal listings.
  5. Save the official order confirmation. It is more reliable than a social post or a reseller description.

How it fits the 2026 Mint calendar

September 3 was also the announced sale date for the 2026 Palladium Uncirculated American Eagle. They are separate products with different metals, price structures, and terms. CoinHub’s Palladium Eagle release guide covers that coin’s specific listing; do not carry its limit or price information over to S830.
